HSE Intern

SLB is offering an HSE Intern position in Georgetown within its HSE, Quality and Sustainability department. The intern will support SLB’s HSE function and employees at all levels on health, safety and environmental matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn SLB’s HSE culture and its health, safety and environmental system
• Conduct site walkarounds to observe operations and site conditions, and offer HSE observations and recommendations
• Take part in HSE audits, inspections and meetings when required
• Keep hardcopy and softcopy HSE records and use internal HSE tools
• Liaise with other business lines, functions and third parties under the guidance of HSE personnel
• Help prepare HSE meeting slides and training or communication materials
• Follow up on orders for HSE and facility goods and services
• Help develop, review and verify risk assessments

Requirements/Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree from an accredited university
• OSHA General Industry Training, NEBOSH or equivalent HSE training
• Prior HSE experience preferred but not required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• Able to set priorities and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Initiative, teamwork and a willingness to grow in an HSE career
