Facilities Attendant

The Guyana Oil Company Limited (GuyOil) is hiring a full-time Facilities Attendant at its Timehri, East Bank Demerara base, near Cheddi Jagan International Airport.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out grounds maintenance and general facilities upkeep
• Assemble, install and repair office furniture, fixtures and fittings
• Replace locks, hinges and handles and complete small woodwork repairs
• Use hand and power tools safely
• Keep the work area and tool inventory clean and organised

Requirements/Qualifications

• Secondary education and demonstrated practical skills
• Familiarity with basic construction tools (tape measure, ruler, spirit level)
• Working knowledge of common maintenance equipment
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings or written instructions
• Willingness to complete safety training
• Physically able to work on scaffolding and ladders and do repetitive lifting
