SLB, formerly known as Schlumberger, is a global technology company that works in more than 100 countries to drive energy innovation. The company adopted the SLB name in 2022 to reflect its shift from oilfield services to a broader energy technology business.

SLB has operated in Guyana since 1974. Today its Georgetown based team supports the country’s growing oil and gas industry with reservoir, well construction and production services.

In Guyana, SLB focuses on building local expertise in oil and gas services, developing the Guyanese supplier base and working in partnership with communities. It regularly hires Guyanese nationals for technical, engineering and maintenance roles.
