X-Ray / Ultrasound Technician

Oxford Medical Centre (OMCGY) is seeking a qualified and dependable X-Ray / Ultrasound Technician to join our diagnostic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures, preparing and positioning patients, operating imaging equipment safely, maintaining accurate records, and supporting physicians with timely and reliable diagnostic images.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing X-ray and ultrasound examinations as requested by physicians.
• Preparing patients and explaining imaging procedures clearly and professionally.
• Positioning patients correctly to obtain accurate diagnostic images.
• Operating X-ray and ultrasound equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensuring images are of appropriate diagnostic quality before completion.
• Following radiation safety and protection procedures at all times.
• Maintaining accurate patient and imaging records.
• Ensuring proper identification and labeling of images and reports.
• Assisting physicians with diagnostic imaging procedures where required.
• Maintaining cleanliness and infection-control standards within the imaging area.
• Conducting routine equipment checks and promptly reporting faults or maintenance needs.
• Maintaining confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
• Monitoring imaging supplies and reporting stock requirements.
• Working closely with doctors, nurses, reception, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Providing courteous and compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Recognized qualification in Radiography, Medical Imaging, Ultrasound Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant registration or licence where applicable.
• Previous experience performing X-ray and/or ultrasound procedures is preferred.
• Good knowledge of diagnostic imaging techniques and patient positioning.
• Sound understanding of radiation safety and infection-control procedures.
• Ability to operate and care for imaging equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and image quality.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Must be professional, dependable, patient-focused, and committed to maintaining confidentiality.

Salary: GYD 200,000
