Medical Laboratory Technologist

Dr. Balwant Singh’s Hospital is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technologist for its 24-hour pathology and diagnostics laboratory in Georgetown.

Key Responsibilities

• Process samples and analyse results across haematology, chemistry and microbiology
• Run diagnostic analysis on blood, urine, cerebrospinal fluid and other body fluids
• Operate, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment
• Conduct quality control runs, record outcomes and interpret results for the attending physician
• Train other laboratory staff and student technologists on lab protocols

Requirements/Qualifications

• Degree in Medical Technology from a recognised institution
• Five CXC subjects including Mathematics and English Language
• Computer literacy
• Strong oral and written communication skills
