Pharmacy Assistant

First Choice Health Care is hiring a full-time Pharmacy Assistant at its Vreed-en-Hoop branch, West Coast Demerara. The role reports to the supervising pharmacist. Shifts include weekends and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare prescriptions under the pharmacist’s direction
• Operate the POS and provide counter service
• Verify incoming stock and keep the electronic inventory current
• Price tag products, conduct stock checks and store medications safely
• Explain medication instructions to customers under the pharmacist’s supervision

Requirements/Qualifications

• Pharmacy diploma or certificate with pharmacy, healthcare or retail experience (preferred), OR
• Minimum of five CSEC subjects (Grades I to III) including Mathematics, English Language and one science subject
• Computer literacy and POS familiarity
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a team
