Mechanical Supervisor (O&M)

Siemens Energy is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor for operations and maintenance (O&M) at its power plant project in Guyana.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks on mechanical equipment according to maintenance plan.
• Perform troubleshooting and repair work on malfunctioning or faulty mechanical plant equipment.
• Utilize computerized plant management systems when reporting faults, performing work on site, requesting material.
• Continually improve technical knowledge by attending training and hands-on training, and by resolving technical issues with appropriate internal and external partners.
• Protect the environment by reducing hazardous waste and avoiding unnecessary spillages.
• Ensure own safety and safety of others by strictly complying with plant safety regulations and ensure compliance with the Permit-to-work system.
• Participate in the administrative maintenance of the plant operating manuals, technical references, prints and diagrams and preventive/predictive maintenance records.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience in a similar industrial environment.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within power generation, industrial plants, or comparable heavy industries.
• Working experience in service/maintenance sector of industrial plants
• Experience as Supervisor of small team helpful but not required
• Working experience with foreigners and in a multinational culture team helpful
