Electrician Helper

QUALCO Guyana is hiring an Electrician Helper to join a project team and help complete assigned work safely, on schedule, within budget and to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the lead electrician and follow their instructions
• Work safely and take care of tools and equipment
• Prepare and clean work areas, and carry and deliver materials
• Install, repair and maintain electrical wiring systems and equipment
• Use measuring equipment and hand tools for conduit work
• Follow safety codes and building regulations

Requirements/Qualifications

• Completion of a basic electrician training program (preferred)
• Eagerness to learn electrical schematics and blueprint reading
• Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge and ability to use electronic test equipment
• Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office
• Strong organisation skills and ability to multitask under pressure
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• Valid driver’s licence
