Instrument and Electrical Technician

QUALCO Guyana is seeking an Instrument and Electrical Technician to maintain and integrate process control instrumentation within safety and quality standards, completing work orders on time. Prior relevant experience, including oil and gas construction, is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair pneumatic instrumentation and electrical systems and equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform corrective work and record maintenance activities and technical reports
• Diagnose problems affecting production equipment and take steps to prevent downtime
• Carry out breakdown repairs and suggest ways to improve production performance
• Regularly check compliance with safe work systems and maintenance procedures
• Use test equipment and hand tools to find and fix faults

Requirements/Qualifications

• Prior experience as an Instrument and Electrical Technician, including oil and gas construction
• Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, machines and tools
• Strong logical reasoning and fine hand coordination for small components
• Able to operate material handling, hand and power tools
• Able to travel frequently by helicopter or boat and work outdoors on oil and gas platforms in all weather
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb, stand, stoop and bend
