Senior Project Officer – Planning (Individual Consultant)

The Ministry of Human Services and Social Security (MHSSS), through the Project Execution Unit of the Support to Safety Net and Gender Empowerment in Guyana (SSNGE) Project, is inviting suitably qualified National Individual Consultants to apply for the position of Senior Project Officer – Planning.

The SSNGE Project (GY-G1011, Grant No. GRT/CN-21169-GY) is financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), administering resources from the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD) and the Government of Canada. The consultant will be selected under the Qualification of National Individual Consultants (QCNI) method, in accordance with IDB Policies GN-2350-15.

Job Description

The objectives of this consultancy include, inter alia, providing high-level strategic planning, analysis and coordination support to the Ministry, ensuring that all projects and programmes align with the Ministry’s strategic goals and achieve maximum impact for beneficiaries.

Duration

• Full-time consultancy for twelve (12) months, with the possibility of renewal
• Location: Georgetown

Requirements/Qualifications

• At minimum, a Master’s Degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Economics or a directly related field
• A minimum of five (5) years progressive experience in strategic planning, project portfolio management and institutional capacity building
