Network Technician (Trainee), Demerara Operations

Guyana Power and Light Inc. (GPL) is inviting applications for its Network Technicians Training Programme, Demerara Operations. This is a twelve (12) month training programme in Electricity Transmission and Distribution (T&D).

• Trainees will be paid a monthly training stipend
• On completion, Technicians will be assigned mainly to T&D Georgetown, Victoria, Garden of Eden and West Demerara locations

Requirements/Qualifications

• Applicants must be between 18 and 25 years old
• Five (5) CSEC subjects, including English, Mathematics and Electricity or Integrated Science, OR a Technical Certificate from a recognised Technical Institute
• Applicants must write a qualifying entrance examination, and successful candidates will be interviewed
