Design Manager (Structural & Construction)

Design Manager to provide structural design and technical support, drive design coordination, assess buildability, and deliver value engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate design development, technical reviews, and design deliverables.
• Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, consultants, and site teams.
• Assess buildability, constructability, design risks, and value engineering opportunities.
• Review and resolve design issues arising during construction.
• Coordinate drawings, technical specifications, materials, and equipment schedules.
• Support tender preparation, technical submissions, and presentations.
• Ensure designs comply with HSE, OSHA, quality, and construction standards.
• Promote innovative design solutions, efficient formwork systems, and construction methodologies.
• Support client relationships and contribute to project procurement and delivery.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience, including 5 years in a relevant supervisory/design role.
• Strong knowledge of BIM, AutoCAD, design coordination, drawings, specifications, and construction design software.
• Experience in value engineering, buildability, technical design, and construction methodologies.
• Strong understanding of HSE and construction standards.
• Professional certification/membership such as CIOB or RICS is an advantage.
• SAP/ERP knowledge preferred.
