Boarding Officer (Customs Petroleum Unit)

Job Description
The Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) is recruiting Boarding Officers for its Customs Petroleum Unit. Officers are deployed aboard FPSO vessels offshore, where they verify crude oil liftings and ensure export documentation complies with the Oil and Gas Agreement and the Customs Act.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor crude oil liftings aboard FPSO vessels
• Review and adjust export declarations
• Liaise with vessel crews and oil company representatives
• Verify quantities and documentation against GRA standards and production sharing agreements
• Maintain accurate registers and submit regular status reports

Requirements/Qualifications

• Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) qualification or Diploma in Accounting
• Knowledge of oil and gas operations, FPSO operations and oil measurement processes
• Training in CA-EBS and Tropical Helicopter Underwater Escape (T-HUET)
• Working knowledge of PC applications (ASYCUDA experience an asset)
• Integrity, accountability and strong oral and written communication skills
