Aviation Technician/Driver

SOL Guyana Inc. is hiring an Aviation Technician/Driver to receive, store and distribute aviation fuel to customers according to established operating procedures. The role reports to the Aviation Supervisor and is open to current Sol staff and external applicants.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect plant equipment (storage tanks, oil-water separator, filter vessels, pipelines, firefighting system, power generator, level alarms) and document findings
• Inspect service and refuelling vehicles and document findings
• Complete fuelling assignments following procedures, including all related paperwork
• Supervise refueller approach, refuelling and equipment removal after servicing
• Perform Clear and Bright quality tests on each fuelling to prevent contamination
• Monitor and record deadman switch operation and timing
• Accurately record fuel transactions, quantities dispensed and inventory levels
• Take part in safety related programs and activities

Requirements/Qualifications

• Technical certificate or equivalent experience in operations, engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of HSSE regulations and ISO standards
• Motor lorry and/or tractor licence
• Strong attention to detail and basic numeracy skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work within a shift system
