Occupational Safety & Health Officer

The Guyana Rice Development Board (GRDB) is seeking a qualified and safety conscious Occupational Safety & Health Officer.

The Board’s Head Office is located at the GuySuCo Compound, LBI, East Coast Demerara. GRDB employs approximately 250 staff at its Head Office, the Rice Research Station at Burma, Mahaicony, and sub offices in Regions 2, 3 and 6.

Requirements/Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Studies or equivalent, with three (3) years’ experience, OR
• Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Studies or equivalent, with five (5) years’ experience
• Knowledge of the Labour Act and the Occupational Safety & Health Act
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
