ICT Support Technician

One Communications Guyana (formerly GTT) is seeking experienced ICT Support Technicians to join its technical operations team in Georgetown, troubleshooting network faults, maintaining telecommunications infrastructure and supporting residential and business customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain telecommunications equipment, including modems, routers, switches and fibre ONTs
• Diagnose and resolve network faults, internet outages and service issues
• Respond to customer technical support calls and field visits across Georgetown and the ECD corridor
• Perform preventive maintenance on network infrastructure and exchange equipment
• Support the rollout of 4G LTE and fibre broadband infrastructure
• Maintain accurate work order documentation
• Escalate complex issues to senior network engineers and the NOC team

Requirements/Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Electronics or a related field
• 1 to 2 years’ experience in IT support, network installation or telecommunications
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, Wi-Fi configuration and basic routing/switching
• Experience with fibre optic splicing or VDSL/DSL installation is an advantage
• Valid Guyana driver’s licence (field visits required)
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work under pressure
