The Ministry of Human Services and Social Security (MHSSS) is the Government of Guyana ministry responsible for social protection and welfare services. Its work includes child care and protection, gender affairs, services for the elderly and persons with disabilities, public assistance and old age pensions, and the prevention of and response to gender-based violence and trafficking in persons. The Ministry is headquartered at 357 Lamaha and East Streets, Georgetown.
