Entry Level Logistics Specialist (Supply Chain Management)

Halliburton is seeking an Entry Level Logistics Specialist for its Supply Chain Management team in Georgetown. This is an entry-level position and no previous experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Under strict supervision, properly pack, mark and label cargo and obtain weight and dimension information
• Coordinate pre-shipping instructions and maintain shipment logs, files, and supporting documentation
• Manage the domestic and international movement of goods in compliance with applicable regulations and prepare the required shipment documentation
• Coordinate cargo movement from origin to destination for timely, cost-effective delivery, and update customers on shipment status
• Assist Finance & Accounting with the validation of rates and charges on invoices
• Use SAP and other logistics systems to process transactions and ensure accurate and timely movement of goods
• Record logistics performance data, track trends, and help identify opportunities to improve logistics processes, service levels, and cost efficiency

Requirements/Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
• Basic understanding of the end-to-end logistics process cycle
• Knowledge of documentation requirements for domestic and international shipments
• Knowledge of transportation constraints and hazardous materials movement
• Understanding of at least one mode of transportation (ocean, air, or land)
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate company applications and systems
• Ability to use SAP, TMS, and other logistics systems to access and process transactions
