About the Company

The National Industrial & Commercial Investments Limited (NICIL) is a company wholly owned by the Government of Guyana. It was incorporated in July 1990 under the Companies Act and holds and manages the Government’s shares, stocks and other securities in companies, co-operatives and other corporate bodies.

NICIL serves as the holding company for the Government’s majority and minority interests, manages Government property (including the acquisition, disposal and rental of properties), monitors the Government’s equity in other companies, and acts as agent for other Government agencies in disposing of properties or managing companies.
