NAMILCO, the National Milling Company of Guyana, is the country’s largest and oldest commercial flour mill, marking its 50th anniversary in 2019. Established as a subsidiary of the Seaboard Corporation in 1969, NAMILCO produces wheat-based products, serving both local and commercial markets, with a focus on the Guyanese Indian population. The company played a pivotal role in addressing wheat shortages in Guyana during the 1980s and expanded its offerings under the Maid Marian and Thunderbolt brands.
