About the Company

The Ministry of Public Works is the Government of Guyana ministry responsible for planning, building and maintaining the country’s public infrastructure, including roads, bridges and drainage.

The Ministry describes itself as the country’s centre of engineering and technical excellence. Its head office is on Wight’s Lane in Kingston, Georgetown, and it is open Monday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and Friday from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.

The Ministry recruits engineers, technical officers and administrative staff to oversee infrastructure projects across Guyana’s regions.
