The Senior Restorative Justice Officer is responsible for the level of administration and supervision necessary to manage human resources and organizing mechanisms for the execution of restorative justice processes. This role works under the general supervision of the Director of Restorative Justice Centres.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case management;
  • Compilation of data;
  • Preparation and presentation of reports;
  • Scheduling and assigning caseload to Restorative Justice Officers;
  • Training and coaching of staff;
  • Community outreach.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Social Sciences, or Arts or equivalent (preferred but not compulsory);
  • Knowledge/familiarity with the Restorative Justice Act 2022 of Guyana;
  • At least five (5) years’ relevant working experience in welfare-related areas or communities at a supervisory level;
  • NB: Requires extensive travel in and around Guyana.
