About the Company
The Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GTT) is the largest telecom provider in Guyana, serving over 300,000 subscribers in a country with 700,000 people. Established in 1991 through a partnership between the Government of Guyana and Atlantic Tele-Network (ATN), ATN owns 80% of GTT’s shares, with the government initially holding 20% before selling them to Hong Kong Golden Telecoms Company Limited. GTT offers a range of services, including fixed-line, mobile, and internet, and operates under licenses granted by the Post and Telegraph Act. The company is regulated by the Telecoms Act of 1990 and the Public Utilities Commission Act of 1990.
